Calvary Kids Update
On Sunday, February 15 kids learned about giving sacrificially. Teachers shared with them about the Grace Beyond building project and how their parents were asked to make a commitment to give toward this project over the next three years.
We recognize that most children are not able to make a three-year pledge to Grace Beyond. With this in mind, every child received a Grace Beyond Bank that they can fill during Lent and return Palm Sunday, March 29.
Many kids were so excited that they have already filled their banks, and want to continue to find creative ways to contribute to the building project. As a result, we have donation boxes at the Check-In Area so kids can bring in their donations throughout the season of Lent.
Student Ministries Update
During our Pledge Kickoff Sunday, our middle and high school students also had an opportunity to focus on giving sacrificially. Middle school students have been encouraged to give above and beyond their normal offering toward this project, during the season of Lent.
High School students will also be collecting an offering each week during Lent. They are focusing on our Special Needs Ministry during this time. Students have joined together with Go Getters for activities and will hear from ministry director, Judi Warner, about how they can take part in serving alongside our population with special needs during the Grace Beyond project.
We hope our students will be encouraged as they see God grow their faith in this season.
